It started as a simple observation - overflowing wardrobes and the paradox of 'nothing to wear'. This common urban dilemma begged the question: What happens to the clothes we no longer wear? The reality, a mix of wastage and environmental harm, was an unsettling wake-up call.
Our founder's eureka moment wasn't in a boardroom but during a regular closet clean-out. Realizing that each piece of discarded clothing had an environmental cost attached to it, the idea of tooUsed germinated. Instead of garments piling up in landfills or being incinerated, releasing harmful CO2 emissions, what if they could find a new home or purpose?
Delving deeper, we discovered the alarming truth about the fashion industry's carbon footprint. A single pair of jeans, from production to disposal, can contribute significantly to CO2 emissions. Multiplied by millions, the environmental impact was undeniable and immense. But it also meant that every cloth repurposed or recycled was a step toward environmental betterment, and therein lay our mission.
Now, as we stand, tooUsed isn't just a platform; it's a movement. A movement towards conscious consumerism, where every clothing item gets a second chance, and every user contribution aids in curbing environmental damage.
